Conference for Education (Kielce, 27.02.21)
On February 27, 2021, the "Conference for Education" was held on-line on the ZOOM platform, summing up the implementation of the shareEU project entitled "Shaping European citizenship in post-totalitarian societies. Reflections 15 years after the enlargement of the European Union”.
The event is organized by the Świętokrzyskie Teacher Training Center and the Kielce District.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, the conference will be held on-line on the Microsoft Teams platform.

invites you to
an international online conference:
"Shaping European citizenship in post-totalitarian societies. Reflections 15 years after the enlargement of the European Union”
Kraków 22 January 2021
The conference is the outcome of a project carried out at the Institute of European Studies, as part of the Europe for Citizens program (Shaping of the European citizenship in the post-totalitarian societies. Reflections after 15 years of EU enlargement - SHARE EU 609162-CITIZ-1-2019-1-PL-CITIZ-REMEM).
The conference will be an opportunity to discuss changes taking place in Europe in the context of:
- Transition from undemocratic systems (totalitarian and authoritarian) to democracy
- Civil society transformations within a post-totalitarian society
- Changes taking place in Central and Eastern Europe before and after the 2004 enlargement, with particular emphasis on the issue of national and European identity
- Memory of totalitarianism in post-totalitarian societies (a comparative perspective).
The conference will be organized in the format of three panel sessions:
- first panel session in Polish (9.00 am - 11.00 am)
- second panel session in English (11.00 am - 1.00 pm)
- afternoon seminar for MA students and PhD candidates (1.00 pm - 3.00 pm)
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, the conference will be held on-line on the Microsoft Teams platform.
Organizers plan to publish selected papers in the Politeja Journal – published by the Jagiellonian University Faculty of International and Political Studies.
The conference program assumes panels of up to five speakers, during which there will be an opportunity to deliver 15-minutes contributions to be followed by questions and discussion.

Organizational meeting and cascade training (Kielce, 10/01/20)
On January 10, 2020, an organizational meeting with cascade training for researchers, teachers and staff (grade 1) took place in Kielce.
During the organizational meeting with local coordinators of the Partner Institutions, administrative and substantive issues were discussed, as well as the shareEU project and the Financing Program Europe for Citizens.
The thematic lectures on totalitarianisms and sociological research methodology were also given.

Presentation of the "shareEU" poster at the international conference
On March 11, 2020, at the Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrzyca, as part of the "shareEU" project, a meeting with the Slovak diplomat, politician and actress Magdalena Vášáryova was held, during which the changes in Slovak society 15 years after the EU enlargement were discussed.
A summary of the poster has been included in the printed conference materials. The international conference with a large number of participants was an opportunity to present the project to a wider audience.

Project meeting, Krakow, 17-18 October 2019
On October 17-18, 2019, took place in Krakow the project meeting for the shareEU project.
On October 17-18, 2019 was held in Krakow the project meeting for the project shareEU "Shaping of the European citizenship in the post – totalitarian societies. Reflections after 15 years of EU enlargement" financed by the Europe for Citizens Programme, Component 1: European Rememberance (Project number: 609162-CITIZ-1-2019-1-PL-CITIZ-REMEM).
The meeting place was the Institute of European Studies of the Jagiellonian University.
The meeting was attended by representatives from partner institutions: Jagiellonian University (PL), Univerzita Mateja Bel v Banskej Bystrici (SK), Università degli Studi dell'Aquila (IT), Świętokrzyskie Centrum Doskonalenia Nauczycieli in Kielce (PL), Powiat kielecki (PL).
The meeting was led by project coordinator Dr. Elżbieta Mach.
